Well this week I almost forgot to enter myself into my first exhibition. Luckily I got my app in just before the closing date!
My form arrived today for my viewing (they view your stuff first to make sure your stuff is good enough) I wanted viewing in May to give me time to do some new pics, but that date was full 'cos I was late submitting. So I have till the 26th April to do 5 paintings! Eeeek! I don't know if I can do it. I hope I can. I shouldn't have told so many people I was entering!

Ok. Right. Back when I posted my last journal i'd entered an art show. I put myself down for 5 pieces. I didn't get any finished. I have 1 pretty much finished one about half way and a third drawn out. I asked my friend deth p sun for some pretty heavy crit cos I felt I wasn't progressing. He was really really helpful and gave some great pointers. Kind of made me want to start from scratch though so lost interest in my half dones. I did a pic for my wider Xmas card but felt again it wasn't that good. Then almost exactly 1 month ago my wife gave birth to my beautiful daughter Mae! Since then i've not had a second to myself! I must try to complete what i've started though when things calm down a bit! Your stuff is coming on brilliantly! I meant to say at the time!

I'm so sorry to hear about the art block. That's an intense and unpleasant place to be. I know you'll pull through though and I bet your stuff will be even more stellar than it already is! <3

Congratulations are in order! That is fantastic news. I'm so happy for you and your family!! I bet life is insanely busy! My best friend gave birth on Christmas Eve and another friend a month later. It seems it is the time for babies! *^_^* Mae is a gorgeous name, I really like it. My love to you and your family.

Thank you so much for the compliment. I think I can see improvement in my work and I'm so happy to have found dA. It's really encouraged me to create. Life's been good. I'm trying to sort out some personal stuff as well as professional. I have the opportunity to move to the UK in June...so I think I'll go for it. It's an opportunity I just can't pass up! *^_^*

Hi Sorry for not replying, much sleepless nights and other excuses and stuff are to blame.

I worked oout why I had the Art block. It's cos I was painting things I thought would sell for that dang art show rather than stuff I WANTED to paint. So it sort of ruined it for me. But now I have a whole bunch of stuff I want to try and no time!

My friend and I (who'se an amazing artist, the only thing I can find online is an album cover he did and the scan isn't great and it has writing on is here [link] ) have decided to start doing gig posters for imaginary bands at places that don't exist. I'm pretty excited about that one.

SO did you come over to the UK? What's that all about then?
